What is the Domain Name means? (III)
by Admin on May.28, 2009, under Make a Free Website, Tutorial
Once you have an html-formatted file on your computer / flash disk, now what you have to do is put your website online so everyone can read it via the internet.
To put your website online, you need two things, which are domain and hosting. Domain is the name that you use in your website, for example: www.friendfinder.com. To get the domain name you must register a domain name that you want and pay some money of course, but not all domains are a paid domain name, there is also a free domain name, please click here to continue this tutorial. Enter the domain name you want in the spaces provided and click the check availability.

Now it will display info about domain name you want to register, whether it was already registered or available. If it was registered, repeat the process again by clicking on getting a new domain and enter another domain name that you want (you can add the numbers). If available then, consider the costs you must pay, whether free or paid. If it’s free, register by clicking continue to registration, then enter your data, click to sign in, you have already registered your domain name.

Because in this tutorial we will use 000webhost as a web hosting, then you must direct your domain name to webhost server, you can replace them next time if any time you use another webhost. Now, click on the tab set up, select Manage DNS server name, type in the column with ns02.000webhost.com ns01.000webhost.com and then click set up. Look at the example below

Wait at most 2 days before you proceed to the next tutorial because it requires a period of 48 hours to direct the domain name to the server webhost.
